GCVI welcomes Hometown Hockey and the Stanley Cup

GUELPH, Ontario – Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute welcomed an important guest on March 29, the Stanley Cup. Guelph is lucky enough to be one of the stops on the Rogers Hometown Hockey tour.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey tour is a hockey fan experience that makes stops in communities across Canada. The official kick off in Guelph is Saturday, April 1 at 12:00 p.m. in Market Square.

Students and staff at Guelph CVI were happy to welcome the Hometown Hockey staff a couple days early with a surprise Stanley Cup appearance for students.

The GCVI Senior Girls hockey team was thrilled to see the Cup and participate in a photo-op with the iconic trophy. Other students and staff, dressed in their favourite jerseys, lined up for their chance to touch and, in some cases, kiss the Cup.
