Willow Road is a large JK-8 school located adjacent to Willow Road, between Edinburgh Road and Silvercreek Parkway in Guelph. The school is ideally situated on a large site with ball diamonds, a soccer field, and spacious paved and grassed play areas. The school property is conveniently bounded by treed parks, Shelldale Centre, several day care centres, and recreational facilites which include tennis courts, basketball courts, and a splash park. Access to the school is off Willow Road from Applewood Crescent, then Parkwood.

Primary and Junior students come from the area bounded by Willow Road, Silvercreek Parkway, Speedvale Avenue, and Edinburgh Road. About half the school population is Grade 7 and 8 students from a larger area which includes the feeder schools of Paisley Road, June Avenue, Victory, and Central Public Schools. Most students walk to Willow Road, except for some who are bused from the Marden area and those who come from other school areas to attend special programs.

Willow Road Public School serves a diverse and multicultural neighbourhood, and the variety of backgrounds offers a valuable richness to the school community. The school maintains close liaison with Shelldale Centre, located adjacent to the school. Shelldale Centre offers a wide range of community supports and services, including a medical centre, programs for new Canadians, and a range of after school and summer programs for neighbourhood children. A breakfast and nutritious snack program is available to our students each day.
