Palmerston Public School is a K-8 rural, small town school with 400 students located in the Town of Palmerston.
The school is dual-track offering English and Immersion French programs from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Students who live in Town walk to school while students who live in the country ride the bus. Students attending the Immersion French program come from the Town as well as surrounding areas in North Wellington. Students who graduate from Palmerston Public move on to Norwell District Secondary School in an English or extended French program (for Immersion French students).
The facility was refurbished and an addition added in 1991. Bright classrooms, halls and library provide an excellent spot for children to learn. The large yards include space for children to play ie. baseball diamonds, soccer field, creative playground, swings, climbers, basketball hoops, large tarmac with painted games, separate area for Kindergarten students.
Students and staff are guided by the school motto "Be the Best You Can Be - Fais de Ton Mieux". We provide each student with the opportunity to achieve academic success and meet the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum. Our school is committed to providing literacy and mathematics programs that provide the necessary tools and skills for the future.
