Community Connections and Collaborative Projects
Who are we?
The Upper Grand District School Board works collaboratively with agencies throughout Dufferin, Guelph and Wellington to effectively support students and their families. The Community Connections and Collaborative Projects Lead position focuses on promoting effective relationships between the Board and community agencies. This includes agencies that are funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, and the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
The Community Connections and Collaborative Projects Lead is responsible for working with community agencies to establish and annually review collaborative agreements. Collaborative Agreements describe ways the agencies and the Board work together to provide services to students and their families, such as agreements with CMHA WWD and Dufferin Child and Family Services.
The Community Connections and Collaborative Projects Lead represents the Board on a variety of community based planning tables and committees, such as:
- Dufferin Coalition for Kids (DUCK Planning Table)
- Growing Great Generations (Planning Table)
- Resource and Planning Committee (Growing Great Kids - GGK) Guelph Wellington
- Service Partnership Committee (GGK)
- Parenting Committee (DUCK)
- System of Care (DUCK)
- Evaluations and Outcomes Committee (DUCK)
- Ensuring School Success
- CCAC and School Boards
- Developmental Services Planning Table
Collaborative Projects that are part of this position include acting as the SEA Coordinator, representing Student Services and Program Department on the Accessibility Committee and other Board committees.
