Policy Book

It is the responsibility of the Upper Grand District School Board to develop, review and direct the implementation by staff of policies that reflect the philosophy, values and strategic directions for the governance and operation of the school system. Through policy, the Board exercises its legislative authority, promotes the organization’s commitment to public accountability, provides flexibility to deal with diverse situations and ensures consistency across all schools and departments.

Public Consultation and Policy Feedback

The Board welcomes your input and suggestions for improving new or revised policies and procedures, prior to final approval by the Board. When policies are open for public consultation, the draft documents and a link to an online feedback survey will be posted here.

When the public consultation period is over, all feedback is considered. Policies will go to the Board for final approval generally in the month following public consultation. Once policies are approved, they will be updated on this page.
